While holiday season can be a very exciting time of the year, it can also be a very overwhelming time of the year. Entertaining guests, shopping for gifts, while maintaining everyday life can be tough. Here are some ideas to make sure you take care of yourself and stay stress free during the holiday season.
Start Your Shopping Early
If you haven’t started your Christmas shopping already then you might already be off to a late start. The later you wait to start shopping, the hardest it is to find that special gift and have a greater chance of being in crowds. Start your shopping Early October to save yourself the time and the hassle.
Also, if you want to avoid the crowds, online shopping is the way to go. Plus when you shop early online, it’s possible that you can avoid those long shipping wait times. It’s a win win to shop early and shop online!
Plan A Self Care Day
I know this sounds cliché, but taking a day to indulge your self-care activities can be really helpful. Whether it’s taking a long bath, getting a mani/pedi, going to lunch with a friend, it’s needed. One of my favorite things to do is take a long hot bath with my favorite body care products. Here are some of my favorites if you are looking to indulge.
Cut Corners On Cooking
I get it. Everyone looks forward to homemade everything during the holidays but if cooking for your guests is going to add more stress, it’s ok to pick up a pie from your local bakery and even a few other things. No one wants to spend their days tirelessly cooking and not have energy to spend time with your loved ones. But if you have to cook, I swear by an Air Fryer! You can fry, bake, roast all in one. They are affordable and convenient. Here are some of my favorites!
I hopes this helps! I know this can be a stressful time of the year so I want to encourage everyone to take care of themselves and it’s ok if you have to cut a corner or two. Happy Holidays!
